Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ApexIB, the interview-preparation platform operated by us ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using ApexIB, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use ApexIB. By using ApexIB, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.

Your account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the platform, or engage in fraudulent activity.

Subscriptions and billing

• ApexIB offers a Free plan and paid subscription tiers (Pro and Recruiting Pass), billed monthly or weekly as selected at checkout.
• Subscriptions purchased via the ApexIB website are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions purchased via the iOS app are billed through Apple and are subject to Apple's terms.
• Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. You can cancel anytime through your account settings (web) or your Apple ID subscription settings (iOS); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or, for iOS purchases, in accordance with Apple's refund policies.
• We may change pricing with advance notice; continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share your account or resell access to ApexIB.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute ApexIB's question bank or content.
• Use ApexIB to harass other users or post abusive, discriminatory, or illegal content in social features.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to ApexIB's systems.
• Use automated tools to generate practice answers in place of your own work.

AI-generated feedback

ApexIB uses AI to grade practice answers and generate feedback. Grades and feedback are provided for practice and educational purposes only. ApexIB does not guarantee interview outcomes, job offers, or the accuracy of every AI-generated response, and feedback should not be treated as professional financial or career advice.

Content you submit

You retain ownership of the answers, posts, and other content you submit. By submitting content, you grant ApexIB a license to store, process, and display it as necessary to operate the platform, including showing your activity to other users if you enable social features.

Third-party integrations

ApexIB offers optional integrations with third-party services, such as connecting your Google account for Calendar features in My Network. These integrations are opt-in, and you can disconnect them at any time in Settings → Connectors. Your use of a connected third-party service is also subject to that service's own terms; ApexIB is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.

Intellectual property

ApexIB's question bank, software, design, and branding are owned by ApexIB and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without permission.

Copyright complaints (DMCA)

If you believe content posted on ApexIB infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@apexib.io that includes: (1) a description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed; (2) a description and location (e.g., URL or screen) of the material you claim is infringing; (3) your contact information; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner. We will remove or disable access to material we determine to be infringing and may terminate accounts of users found to be repeat infringers.

Termination

You may stop using ApexIB and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use ApexIB ends immediately; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

Disclaimers

ApexIB is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will result in any particular interview or recruiting outcome.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ApexIB will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notice before the changes take effect. Continued use of ApexIB after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Dispute resolution and arbitration

You and ApexIB agree to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of ApexIB through binding, individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.

• Arbitration. Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, and will take place in, or be otherwise governed by the laws of, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The arbitrator's decision will be final and binding, except for a limited right of appeal under the Federal Arbitration Act.
• Class action waiver. You and ApexIB agree that disputes will be brought only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, or representative action. If this waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular dispute, that dispute will be resolved in court rather than in arbitration.
• Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms by emailing support@apexib.io with your name and a clear statement that you wish to opt out. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
• Exceptions. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in court for misuse of intellectual property or unauthorized access to ApexIB's systems.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
